Authorship

Authorship should be limited to individuals who have made substantial intellectual contributions to the conception, design, data collection, analysis, interpretation, or writing of the manuscript. All authors must approve the final version of the manuscript prior to submission and agree to be accountable for the accuracy and integrity of the published work. Guest, honorary, and ghost authorship are strictly prohibited.

Originality

Authors must submit only original work that has not been previously published and is not under consideration by another journal. All sources of information, ideas, figures, tables, and previously published material must be properly cited. Plagiarism, duplicate publication, self-plagiarism, and redundant publication are considered serious ethical violations.

Data Access and Retention

Authors should retain the original research data supporting their published findings and be prepared to provide such data to the Editorial Office when requested for editorial review or verification. Where appropriate, authors are encouraged to deposit research data in recognized public repositories to promote transparency and reproducibility.

Data Citation

Research datasets that contribute to published findings should be properly cited in the reference list whenever possible. Data citations should include persistent identifiers such as Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs) or repository accession numbers to facilitate accessibility and reproducibility.

Source Acknowledgment

Authors must appropriately acknowledge the work of other researchers through accurate citation of relevant literature. Any use of third-party material, including figures, tables, images, questionnaires, or datasets, requires proper attribution and permission where applicable.

Conflict of Interest Disclosure

All authors, reviewers, and editors must disclose any financial, personal, institutional, academic, or commercial relationships that could influence, or appear to influence, the research or editorial process. Where no competing interests exist, authors should clearly state that they have no conflicts of interest.

Reporting Standards

Research reports should provide an accurate, honest, and complete description of the work performed. Authors should present sufficient methodological detail to allow replication where appropriate and should avoid fabrication, falsification, selective reporting, or manipulation of research findings.

Human Rights

Research involving human participants must be conducted in accordance with internationally accepted ethical principles, including the Declaration of Helsinki and applicable institutional and national regulations. Authors must ensure that the dignity, privacy, safety, and rights of participants are protected throughout the research process.

Animal Welfare

Research involving animals must comply with internationally recognized standards for animal care and welfare as well as applicable institutional and national regulations. Authors should demonstrate that all efforts were made to minimize animal suffering and reduce the number of animals used.

Research Ethics

All research submitted to IJMMAS must comply with applicable ethical standards governing scientific research. Authors are responsible for ensuring that all required ethical approvals, permissions, and regulatory requirements have been obtained before commencing the study.

Institutional Review Board (IRB) Approval

Studies involving human participants, clinical investigations, identifiable human data, or biological specimens must receive prior approval from an Institutional Review Board (IRB), Ethics Committee, or equivalent regulatory authority. The manuscript should clearly identify the approving institution, approval number, and approval date where applicable.

Informed Consent

Authors must confirm that informed consent was obtained from all human participants or their legally authorized representatives before participation in the study. Where patient photographs, videos, or identifiable information are included, explicit written consent for publication must also be obtained.

Clinical Trial Registration

Clinical trials should be prospectively registered in a publicly accessible clinical trial registry recognized by international standards before participant enrollment. The registration number and registry name should be reported within the manuscript.

Author Accountability

The corresponding author is responsible for ensuring that all co-authors have reviewed and approved the submitted manuscript, that the reported data are accurate, and that all ethical requirements have been fulfilled. Authors remain accountable for the integrity of their published work, even after publication.

Research Misconduct

IJMMAS has zero tolerance for research misconduct, including plagiarism, duplicate publication, data fabrication, data falsification, image manipulation, citation manipulation, unethical authorship practices, fake peer review, and any other actions that compromise research integrity. Allegations of misconduct will be investigated in accordance with established editorial procedures and internationally recognized ethical guidance.

Corrections and Retractions

Where significant errors, ethical concerns, or unreliable findings are identified after publication, the journal may publish corrections, corrigenda, expressions of concern, or retractions to preserve the integrity of the scholarly record. Editorial decisions regarding post-publication actions are made following a thorough investigation.

Advertising Policy

Advertising and commercial activities must not influence editorial decisions, peer review, or publication outcomes. Editorial independence is maintained at all times, and advertisements are clearly distinguished from editorial content. Acceptance of advertising does not constitute endorsement by the journal, its editors, or the Editorial Board.
