Genomic medicine uses information from an individual’s DNA to guide disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and long-term health planning. Advances in next-generation sequencing, pharmacogenomics, gene therapy, artificial intelligence, and precision medicine have expanded the clinical value of genomics across oncology, rare diseases, infectious diseases, reproductive medicine, and chronic disease care. This article reviews current and future applications of genomic medicine and explores its potential to transform healthcare delivery.
