Background: Virtual learning has become an important component of medical training, especially after the rapid digital transformation caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. Medical schools and training institutions increasingly use online lectures, virtual simulations, digital anatomy platforms, telemedicine-based teaching, and learning management systems. Objective: This study examines the effectiveness of virtual learning in medical training, focusing on knowledge acquisition, clinical skill development, learner satisfaction, accessibility, and limitations. Methods: A narrative review design was used. Literature published between 2015 and 2025 was reviewed from PubMed, Scopus, Web of Science, ERIC, and Google Scholar. Studies related to undergraduate medical education, postgraduate training, simulation-based learning, online clinical teaching, and digital assessment were included. Results: Virtual learning was found to be effective for theoretical knowledge delivery, flexible learning, revision, case-based discussion, and remote access to expert teaching. However, it was less effective when used alone for hands-on procedural training, bedside clinical examination, communication skills, and professional identity formation. Blended learning models showed the strongest educational value. Conclusion: Virtual learning is effective in medical training when integrated with traditional clinical exposure and simulation-based practice. It should not replace bedside teaching but can significantly enhance accessibility, flexibility, and learner engagement.
